About Daisy Sola

I have a pedigree going directly back to Joseph Pilates through The New York Pilates Studio. I found my passion for this extraordinary discipline many years ago when I began as a client there dealing with my own pain management and using Pilates as physical therapy for muscular dysfunction.

The Pilates Method saved my body and expanded my mind helping me remove mental blocks about my perceived limitations. During these ten plus years of personal application of the method and as an educator I have witnessed and assisted clients achieve their own Pilates "miracles"; like breakthroughs in isometric endurance, relief of chronic back pain, hip pain, neck pain, and sever spinal dysfunction etc.

I've applied this method in improving an athletes gait, a dancers leap, deepening a singers breath, and teaching a novice how to carefully begin a workout routine and sustain it without injury. With this method I have helped people with Asthma, Parkinson's Disease, Epilepsy, Degenerative Bone Disease, Fibromyalgia, Crohn's Disease, Colitis etc.

Through these experiences I realized that the Pilates discipline encourages deep self awareness and gives one a foundation of self confidence through its structured application. This careful process creates the desire to achieve more with the body which is fundamental to including and sustaining physical fitness in ones daily life.

I am a Certified Instructor of the Authentic Classical Pilates Method. I am an Isometric Endurance Specialist, and a Specialist of Developmental Sequencing. My system integrates concepts and instruction from Feldenkrais, Trigger Point Therapy, Zen Shiatsu self massage, Watsu and Tantsu to help you sustain mind/body awareness as you learn the principles and routines of Classical Pilates.
